The Greene County Ram volleyball team traveled to Eldora Saturday for the South Hardin Tournament. The Rams went 3-2 on the day and won the consolation bracket.
The Rams played host South Hardin first and won with game scores of 21-10, 12-21, 15-9. They lost to Forest City 14-21, 7-21, and then lost to Grandview Baptist 17-21, 14-21. They won against the Forest City JV team 25-21, 25-23, and then finished the day the way they ended it, beating South Hardin in the consolation bracket 22-25, 25-23, 17-15.
Katelyn Hagen continued her prowess serving going 48 of 48 with two aces. Hannah Promes was 39 of 44 serving and had seven aces.
Nadia Fisher had 29 kills, Megan Durbin had 20 and Kenna Marquardt had 16. The team recorded 76 assists. Hagen had 47 digs and Alison Gallagher had 28.
“I continue to see improvement in our consistency, especially offensively,” coach Donna Carhill said. “I was particularly happy to see the team win the consolation match at the end of the day, a great way to end a tournament.”
